I have to say that this is one of my favorite family sessions ever. I have known these children since there was only one of them, and it’s been an amazing five years getting to know all of them. I was so excited when Mom scheduled a family snuggle session for the whole family. We had a great time playing on the farm, and I had an even better time capturing their sweet relationships with one another. And yes, I’m showing you a ton of pictures….but this is only a very small sampling of what I actually showed them! :)

Has it really been over two weeks since my last post? A lot has happened in those two weeks, so I hope that those of you who are still around to read this little blog of mine will understand.
On top of a crazy schedule of shooting, my husband celebrated his 40th birthday (which I had to make awesome for him…and yes, we are old!), we demolished a house & closed on our construction loan for our new one…..AND I moved out of my studio into a new one! So, if you’ve driven through downtown Homewood and noticed that I’m no longer there, I am now located in my new studio just off Highland Avenue! I’m very excited about the new studio…now, if only I could find time to decorate it and hang pictures.
Before I left my old space, I photographed sweet little Andrew, who was an absolute angel his entire session…meaning he slept through about 99% of it! :) Both of Andrew’s grandfathers were pilots, so we definitely had to do an aviation set…and I love how it turned out. Welcome to the world, little Andrew!

I love weeds (notice I said “weeds” with an “s”). I don’t think that men with mowers understand the beauty of weeds. While I like to think of them as wildflowers….my husband sees them as a curse from God. He likes his manly manicured yard. Manicured is boring to me. Men with lawnmowers mowing beautiful weeds make me sad. Today as I left my beautiful weed garden, men with mowers stepped in behind to rob me of their beauty. Here’s hoping the rain stopped them…at least for a while.
Last week, I decided to put together a few impromptu mini-sessions in my garden of weeds, and little Peyton came out to play. We got so many gorgeous images from our short little time together….these are just a few of them.

A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of meeting sweet little Reese. At just four days old, we assumed that she would snooze through her entire session. Let’s just say that Reese had other things in mind! :) We got some great shots at our session, but we all wanted more. So we got together a few days later for more pictures only to be met with a wide-awake Reese! With a little coercing and patience, we managed to get some great sleeping shots! I must have had a serious case of spring fever around the time that I did these pictures….
