I loved meeting these sweet twins a couple of weeks ago. I am completely amazed by twins. Not only did Madison and Kaitlyn look exactly alike, they also held their little hands and feet in the exact same way. They were incredibly sweet, and I know that they are going to be well-loved. Welcome to the world, Madison and Kaitlyn!

I’m not sure if it’s obvious from these pictures, but little Ella has quite the little personality….and perhaps a bit of an opinion! :) I loved hanging out with her and playing on her terms. I’ve found that allowing a 2 year-old to direct the shoot typically yields the best results, and this time was no exception! Thank you sweet Ella for such a fun playdate!

For all of you mothers out there, I hope that you have had a wonderful Mother’s Day. When I was looking through sessions tonight to decide what to post first (yes, I’m still behind on posting!), I decided that there wasn’t a more appropriate session to post than this sweet Snuggle Session from a few weeks ago. As I looked back through them and saw the beautiful captures of Mom with her sweet babies, I knew I had to share them with you. And yes, we did get a lot of sweet pictures with Dad as well, but since we moms tend to be the holders of the camera, I focused a lot on Mom during the session. And how could I not? She’s gorgeous….and so is the rest of her family. Happy Mother’s Day!

Baby Brenna (Birmingham Newborn Photographer)

What a joy it was to meet little Brenna earlier this week. Daddy said she had been fussy and wished us luck as he handed her off to us. And thankfully, we were lucky…very lucky. Little Brenna didn’t make a peep until the very end of the session! :) If I weren’t knocking on the old 40-year-old door, I might even say she gave me baby fever…but I got my fix (for now).

Taje Elise (Birmingham Children’s Photographer)

I have to say that as I post this, it makes me a little sad. With this session, Taje Elise officially graduates from her baby plan (sniff!)….which means that I won’t have the pleasure of seeing her every 6 months! I guess I could always twist Mom’s arm to bring her back to me for a little snuggle every once in a while…or more pictures, perhaps. Taje’s sessions with me have been among some of my favorites.

I adored this session with Taje last week. You really never know what you are going to get with a one-year old, but Taje was exceptionally happy from start to finish. Perhaps it’s because of her very funny older brothers….or perhaps, it’s just because she’s the third child and HAS to be happy. Whatever the reason, our time together was magical. ”Taje” is an arabic name meaning “crown”. I’m so glad that mom decided to incorporate the hand-made crowns into Taje’s session….even if it meant that Daddy had to drive 20 minutes back home to retrieve them once the session started! :) I think it was worth the drive. Happy 1st birthday, Taje Elise! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your first year!

I don’t know if it’s obvious by the number of pictures I’m posting here that I absolutely loved this session. To be honest, I’m really loving ALL of my family snuggle sessions…more than I ever imagined I would. This family was not only beautiful…they were also SO MUCH FUN. There’s a lot of love and laughter in this family…and that’s what it’s all about. Thank you, guys, for allowing me to capture the personalities of your family in such a beautiful way!

And then there was sweet baby William who came all the way from Atlanta to see me…..(see, I told you guys I’ve been busy!). I met William’s older brother, George, last summer, and I was hoping to get to see him again at William’s session. Unfortunately, George came down with a tummy bug right before William’s session…. I, did, however, get to have some precious snuggle time with William…and he was an absolute angel. Welcome to the world, baby William.
